Classic Details with a Modern Twist: A Captivating Styled Tablescape Editorial at Bois Doré

If you’re enchanted by the captivating fusion of modern and vintage design elements, prepare to be enthralled by this styled editorial. Set against the backdrop of one of Newport, Rhode Island’s most historic properties, designer Stephanie King of Stephanie King Events curated this styled photoshoot that captures the essence of sophistication and eclecticism, blending timeless elements with a contemporary twist.

The concept behind this styled editorial drew inspiration from the magnificent venue itself. As you pass through the grand gates and meander down a path lined with linden trees, the chateau looms in the backdrop, casting a magical spell. The 19,000-square-feet of darling elements, including marble floors, limestone accents, and vintage artwork, provided the perfect canvas. King’s aim was to infuse the design with a vintage flair, an eclectic mix of styles, and the designer’s personal touch, all brought together with the assistance of Reverie Social & PEAK Event Services.

Every detail was carefully chosen to bring the design to life and evoke a sense of awe. “You can almost feel and smell the room just from looking at the photos of it,” says King. “That’s what I strive for. Pulling in design elements that really tell the story when you look back, you can close your eyes and feel like you’re there. Despite its white, neutral color, Gracie Pearl White’s delicate floral embroidery gave the tablescape beautiful texture and interest, setting the scene for a design that melded together sophistication, elegance and old world charm. I was able to build on that texture with the delicate scalloped edge Valentina Dinner Plates.” The layers of texture created by the glassware and plates by PEAK Event Services added depth and visual interest. A nod to modernity was introduced with the inclusion of PEAK’s gold and matte white Verona Flatware. To ground the space and provide a sense of serenity, plush velvet green elements were incorporated by way of Velvet Evergreen napkins as well as a linen for the cake table.
